A bit about us and our breeding

We've been hooked on Rotties for over 10 years now as we spent two years going to dog shows and talking to breeders around Australia, reading every Rottie book and meeting every Rottie owner we could BEFORE we were lucky enough to get our first Rottie Zanda, and Isha followed about 12 months later; they became the foundation for our breeding hence our kennel name ZANDISHA.

We only breed every few years when we would like another show prospect. We show in the All Breeds and Specialty Rings and were recently awarded BEST BREEDERS IN SHOW at the Northern Districts Rottweiler Club of NSW March 05 show! In the 'short time' we have been in the breed (10 years +), we have amassed about 52 V-Ratings and 18 Class wins at specialty shows as well as a Best In Show, and many Reserve Challenges, and Class in Shows. The main thing we aim for are consistent placings and having a good time with our dogs.

We have both served on the Committee of the Rottweiler Club of NSW for about 7 years, including President, Secretary, Ordinary Committee, Treasurer, Newsletter Editor, and Critique Secretary. We are current Committee members of RCNSW, critique typist and webmaster for the Club still. We are also members of the Northern Districts Rottweiler Club of NSW, the ACT Canine Association and the Royal New South Wales Canine Council. 

As we have not bred since Zeus' litter three years ago, because we have spent this time expanding the bloodlines in our yard by buying in puppies to run on (as well as setting up our new 20 acre property) we are having fun again with a Zandisha litter again (Zion x Aika) born late November 2005 and hope to be breeding again by the end of 2006. All our dogs are tested under and meet the National Rottweiler Council (Australia) scheme for hereditary diseases and before being bred.
