LATEST NEWS: Zanda's last son, Zandisha Our Delrego, Zeus, received
his Australian Championship Title on Saturday, 19 November 2004 at Cooma - the
same place and show that Zanda received his title in Nov 98 under Terry Syme....
Maybe Zanda was looking down at Zeus and giving him some extra luck because he
picked up a 15 points Best of Breed win which took him to his title....
"The
gift which I am sending you is called a dog, and is in fact the
most precious and valuable possession of mankind" (Theodorus
Gaza)
These
photos are of Zanda on 10 and 11 February 2003 - when we realised he
was dying of cancer - but he still had the spirit to overcome his
pain and do the things he enjoyed most in life - go for a car ride,
go for a swim, run around the property, check out the neighbour's
cow and, of course, give us love and his big beautiful cuddles. |

Goodbye our beautiful boy Zanda.
Mummy and Daddy love you forever.
You are now at rest overlooking your favourite spot, the dam,
where you will
be part of our family life forever,
and we can
continue to sit with you and share our day.
Thank you for being the best dog anybody could be so lucky to own
and love,
with the biggest heart and spirit that any dog can possess.
Loved by all who had the good fortune to meet him.
A sire to around 30 puppies and grandsire to 10.

but, above all, our firstborn.

We will never stop loving you or thinking of you
and your happy, friendly face.

GOODBYE
With heavy
hearts, and a tear in our eyes,
after all these years; we must say goodbye
Please understand; we've done all we could,
if there was anything we could do;
you know we would
We're sitting right here; gently rubbing your ears,
while we talk to you softly;
trying to hold back the tears
The memories you gave us, we'll never forget,
especially the ones of the day
we all met
One last hug and one last kiss, you have no idea how much you'll be missed
To look into your eyes this one last time, you tell me it's ok; you know it's
your time.
Close your eyes now and go to sleep, we'll pray to the Lord your soul he'll
keep
Go in peace now, our good friend, we'll stay right here with you, until
the end
Dream of that special day and time when we'll meet at the Bridge;
and all will
be fine
We'll run and play, side by side, with a soft warm feeling, deep down inside
Your memory will live on in each one of us, you'll always be number 1, to all
of us
Have a safe journey through the night,
we promise when you awake, you'll be in
God's light.
So with heavy hearts and tears in our eyes, just for now our friend; we say
goodbye.
"John Quealy"
Message
To My Masters
The
day you laid me down to sleep,
you prayed to the Lord my
soul to keep
You sent me home, to heaven above, where I'm cradled in God's arms; covered
with His love
I understand what you did, you did out of love, and I'll return that love,
from my new home above.
My sickness is gone, and I'm free here to roam,
I run and play in the meadows,
here in my new home.
We play here by the Bridge, from morning to night,
there is no rain here, just
warm sunlight.

Message from Rainbow
Bridge?

I was coming home one
week after Zanda passed away and I saw a rainbow over our suburb. I was
excited and thought this could be Rainbow Bridge, as I couldn't remember
the last time I had seen a rainbow, and we had been in drought for months
on end. As I was driving through my
suburb I kept my eyes on it and it looked nowhere near our house, but as I
got closer to our house I saw it was right there.
As I had the digital camera in the car with me I got right out and took
this photo standing on our front lawn. I unloaded Alana and returned to
take some more photos, but the rainbow had disappeared.
Sadly, I also found out later that night that Zanda's sister Della
had passed away that very afternoon.
Do you think it
was a message from Zanda telling us he made it to Rainbow Bridge?

Alana, Zanda, Aika and Isha 25.12.02 waiting for their
Xmas stockings.
Little did we know he would not be with us 8 weeks later.
